Happy New Year to you all from everyone at Kuk Sool Won Glasgow.

2024 was a mixed year for me personally, with sadly losing my Dad in January 2024. His absence was badly felt over Christmas and New Year this year. This was always his favourite time of year and always had a few traditions at New Year which we will strive to keep alive!

It wasn’t all doom and gloom though as 2024 saw some great events and moments for KSW Glasgow. We had a great performance at the Scottish tournament, with myself and Brian promoting to 4th and 2nd Dahn respectively. All our students also raked in a load of medals and took a top 10 place with only 7 competitors!

We also had an amazing trip to Italy to celebrate JKN Marco’s 70th birthday. It was an honour to be invited along and he put on an amazing party in the Tuscan mountains. 

We have also had quite a few social evenings with quizzes and games, our summer BBQ and a great Halloween party. Thanks to PSBN Ruaridh for organising and everyone else who helps make these events fun for us all!

Lastly, our students all put in hundreds of training hours each over the year. It’s easy to forget how far you progress when it happens gradually but I can see the standard of everyone improving year on year! Well done for all your efforts.
