As we head into the final month of the year, I’m excited to announce something a little special for anyone thinking about starting their martial arts journey with us.
For the whole of December, we’re offering an entire week of free classes to all new students. Normally we give a single free trial lesson, but a week of training gives you the chance to settle in, meet the group, experience a few different sessions, and get a real sense of whether Kuk Sool Won is something you want to explore long-term. No pressure, no expectations, just come along, train, and enjoy.
Self Defence Focus This Month
Alongside our usual mix of martial arts training (striking, forms, joint-locking, throws, breakfalls, sparring and weapons) we’re adding a stronger focus on practical self defence principles throughout December.
This includes:
- Learning how to read situations, manage distance and de-escalate
- Understanding non-threatening guard positions like the fence and thinker
- Using simple, high percentage techniques when there are no other options
- Applying Kuk Sool concepts in a way that makes sense in real world scenarios
Why Try Kuk Sool Won?
Kuk Sool Won is a comprehensive traditional martial art, and our classes are exclusively for adults. We are not like an MMA or BJJ gym. We are a place to learn a rich, detailed system that blends striking, grappling, joint manipulation and weapon work, all taught in a friendly, supportive environment.
We also offer a complete training environment that goes beyond the martial arts curriculum. As a qualified personal trainer, I can help you build strength, fitness and mobility in a way that supports your Kuk Sool practice. These elements are built into our classes, warm ups and movement drills so you can progress safely, move better and feel stronger in every session.
Whether you are interested in self defence, improving fitness, learning a traditional art, or simply being part of a great community, this December is the perfect time to get started.
